Keeping your pet healthy and happy is our top priority. That’s why we offer a variety of services, including annual wellness exams.
Veterinarians have a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited school and must be licensed in their state. They also have a growing demand for their services, with job growth expected to be 19 percent from 2021 to 2031, faster than the average for all occupations.
Preventive Care
Preventive care is a great way to avoid health issues. It also helps identify them in their earliest stages, when they may be easier to treat.
At Lincoln Road Veterinary Clinic, we offer a wide range of preventive services. These include annual checkups, wellness exams, vaccinations, and geriatric pet care.
Under health reform, most insurance plans must cover these services at no cost to members. However, you must use an in-network provider to get the service.

Dr. Lindsey Hanson graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a bachelor’s degree in veterinary science in 2009. She has since earned her DVM from Iowa State University.
She practiced for 3 years in Omaha before returning to her hometown in Lincoln in 2013. She enjoys practicing general medicine and seeing your pet grow from a kitten or puppy into an adult. She also has a soft spot for giant breed dogs.
Surgery
We offer a variety of surgical procedures for your pet. This includes soft tissue surgery, orthopedic surgeries, and laparoscopic or minimally invasive procedures.
Generally, surgery is the use of operative manual and instrumental techniques on a person or animal to investigate or treat a disease or injury, or to help improve bodily function or appearance, or to repair unwanted ruptured areas.
The medical specialty of surgery lays the foundation for modern medicine. It was put on a sound, scientific footing during the Age of Enlightenment in Europe.

Emergency Care
Veterinary clinics work to educate pet owners on preventive care, like spay/neuter, vaccinations, dental care, and age and breed-related wellness exams. These facilities also provide emergency services for pets that require more specialized care.
Veterinarian clinics often refer pet parents to an animal emergency hospital for emergency situations, such as heat stroke, poison ingestion, snake bites, and other injuries that require immediate medical attention. Emergency hospitals offer extended hours, as well as night and weekend care.
Veterinary emergency hospitals follow strict triage guidelines and treat patients based on their severity of the situation. They evaluate pets with a physical exam, breathing rate, heart rate, temperature, bloodwork and urine and fecal samples.
